The Rainforest Cafe at the Downtown Disney District: A Disneyland Dining Review
by Dorothy Compton on 03-26-2015

A trade show brought me to Southern California and even though I didn't go into the parks, a visit to Downtown Disney was a must.

My daughter and I parked at the Downtown Disney parking area, where the first three hours are free and if you have your ticket stamped at one of the table service restaurants or the movie theater, you get an additional two hours. To discourage theme park visitors from parking in this lot, the hourly rate is $6 per hour after the free hours. This parking is close to the west end of Downtown Disney near the Disneyland Hotel and most parking places are just a short walk from the action. More ...

I'm a sucker for any book that's written by a former Cast Member,.

Steakhouse 55: A Disneyland Dining Review by Cheryl Pendry on 12-19-2013

I always worry that they won't cater to my needs, and that as their specialty ...

Carthay Circle Lounge: Disney California Adventure Dining Review by Cheryl Pendry on 11-27-2013
If someone had told me before our most recent visit to Disneyland that one of our favourite dining spots would actually be a lounge, as opposed to a restaurant, I'd have been really shocked.

However, that's exactly what happened at ...

Christmas in California: Celebrating the Holidays at Disneyland by Cheryl Pendry on 11-07-2013
Christmas is a special time for many people, and for us, whenever possible, it means one thing -- Disney

Until last year, more specifically it meant Walt Disney World. However, I always welcome a change, and when the opportunity arose ...

       TIP
Disneyland Down Time
"Don't forget to plan for some down time on your vacation - whilst Disneyland is significantly smaller than Walt Disney World, there is still an awful lot of walking involved! We stayed at a fabulous hotel just over the road from the parks, but that driveway to the parks and Downtown is still a very long walk, particularly at the end of the day! We were in California for a week and had one day off planned in the middle of the vacation, but we spent it at Downtown Disney, so were totally exhausted at the end of the week. Note to self : next time, have a day by the pool or even in bed!"
